SAP Business One Consultant Salary Guide UK 2026

16 June 2026 · Henley Morgan

SAP Business One consultant discussing UK salary expectations for 2026 with a recruiter

You want the number, so here it is: a mid-level SAP Business One consultant in the UK earns £49,500–£66,000 in 2026. Senior, £66,000–£82,500. Lead or principal, £82,500–£104,500. If someone's offering you meaningfully less than that for a functional role with two to five years behind you, they're benchmarking from an old spreadsheet — politely show them ours.

Now the interesting part: what moves you inside those bands, because the spread is £16,000+ at every level and it isn't random.

The levers, ranked

HANA migration experience is the big one — worth 12–18% over SQL-only peers, and it has been for years. The partner channel still carries a live backlog of SQL-to-HANA projects, and the coming version 11 wave will pile cloud migration on top. If you learn one thing this year, learn this.

Add-on depth comes second. Boyum B1UP certification runs 8–12% extra in the partner channel; Beas Manufacturing depth 10–15% for anyone near the manufacturing verticals. These premiums exist because partners can bill them, simple as that.

The client-facing gene, third but underrated. Consultants who run their own workshops and handle their own difficult FDs get promoted into the lead band years earlier. We've watched technically-average consultants out-earn brilliant ones purely on this. Nobody puts it on a CV; every interviewer is looking for it.

Location, honestly, matters less than it used to — London pays 10–15% over the national median but hybrid work lets regional consultants capture most of it.

And if you're the one paying

Budget the band, not the incumbent's salary. Under-offering a B1 role in this market doesn't save money — it buys you a three-month vacancy and a second search. We benchmark every role free before it goes out; that's the easy first step.

Full detail — all six B1 role families, both markets, contract day rates — is in our maintained SAP Business One salary guide, and the salary checker gives you your own answer in half a minute. Where you go after seeing it — that's our favourite conversation.
