About the role
We are recruiting for an established Dynamics 365 Business Central partner in Phoenix who are expanding their technical delivery team to support a strong pipeline of implementation and enhancement projects. As a Technical Consultant / Developer, you will build customisations, extensions and integrations that extend Business Central functionality for clients across distribution, manufacturing and services sectors, working closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions. This is a hands-on development role where you will write AL code, configure extensions, troubleshoot technical issues and support clients through implementation, testing and go-live phases.
You will work within a collaborative technical team with access to senior developers and solution architects, delivering a varied project portfolio that includes API integrations, custom business logic, Power Platform solutions and third-party app configurations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop customisations and extensions for Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL, Visual Studio Code and the Business Central development environment to meet specific client requirements
- Build integrations between Business Central and external systems including CRM, eCommerce platforms, warehouse management solutions and reporting tools using APIs, web services and Azure Logic Apps
- Configure and maintain Power BI reports, Power Automate workflows and Power Apps that extend Business Central capabilities and improve user experience
- Troubleshoot technical incidents, performance issues and data anomalies, working directly with clients and functional consultants to diagnose root causes and implement fixes
- Support implementation projects by preparing development environments, conducting code reviews, managing version control in Azure DevOps and participating in testing, training and deployment activities
- Collaborate with functional consultants during discovery and design workshops to assess technical feasibility, recommend efficient approaches and document technical specifications
What We're Looking For
- Practical experience developing for Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL and extensions, or strong development skills in C#, .NET, SQL or similar object-oriented languages with the ability to pick up AL quickly
- Solid understanding of APIs, web services and integration patterns, with experience connecting business applications or enthusiasm to build this skill set
- Familiarity with the Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) would be an advantage but is not essential
- A calm, methodical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work through technical challenges independently and know when to escalate or ask for support
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, gather requirements and manage client expectations during project delivery
- Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Business Central or Azure would be a plus rather than essential
