About the role

We're working with a growing SAP partner in Chicago who is expanding their S/4HANA practice to meet increasing client demand for cloud and on-premise transformations. As an SAP S/4HANA Project Manager, you will lead full lifecycle implementations from blueprint through to go-live and hypercare, managing multi-disciplinary teams and serving as the primary point of contact for clients across manufacturing, distribution and professional services sectors. You'll coordinate functional and technical workstreams, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure that projects are delivered on scope while managing the inevitable trade-offs that come with complex ERP transformations.

This is a client-facing role that combines strong programme delivery with stakeholder management and commercial awareness. You'll work with a supportive internal team, a varied project portfolio including greenfield S/4HANA implementations and ECC upgrades, and the autonomy to shape delivery methodology as the practice grows. Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations, managing scope, timeline, budget and risk across Finance, Controlling, Materials Management and Sales & Distribution modules
Coordinate cross-functional project teams including functional consultants, technical developers, data migration specialists and third-party vendors to deliver integrated solutions
Manage client expectations and serve as the main point of escalation, conducting steering committee meetings, status reporting and change control processes
Develop detailed project plans, resource allocations and delivery schedules, adjusting as needed to respond to scope changes or emerging risks
Oversee testing phases including unit, integration and user acceptance testing, ensuring defects are tracked, resolved and signed off before go-live
Support business development activities by contributing to proposals, estimates and scoping workshops for prospective clients

What We're Looking For

Proven experience managing SAP S/4HANA implementations or large-scale ECC upgrade projects, ideally across at least two full project lifecycles from initiation to hypercare
Strong understanding of core S/4HANA modules such as Finance (FICO), Materials Management, Sales & Distribution or Supply Chain, and how they integrate across the business
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines and resources on complex projects, with a track record of delivering to scope while maintaining strong client relationships
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills: someone who can provide stability and inspire confidence when projects face pressure or competing priorities
PMP, PRINCE2 or SAP Activate certification would be an advantage but is not essential; candidates who combine strong delivery fundamentals with S/4HANA product knowledge will stand out
Experience with cloud deployments, data migration tooling or Agile delivery approaches would be a plus
