About the role
We are recruiting for a long-established UK manufacturer seeking an ERP Systems Analyst to join their small, close-knit in-house systems team. You'll work with SAP Business One and custom-built applications, supporting business-critical systems across finance, sales, manufacturing and the warehouse. This is a hands-on role where you'll go out to the shop floor, understand operational challenges, design practical solutions and see them deployed. The team owns projects from start to finish, and the impact is real: a recent picking solution they built made the operation so efficient that it went from a full team working overtime to a smaller team working mornings only.
With ERP upgrade projects, warehouse management system development and further automation on the horizon, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ERP-focused Systems Analyst or ERP Support professional who wants genuine ownership and variety. Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance SAP Business One and in-house applications, working closely with colleagues across the business to understand their needs and deliver practical solutions
- Use SQL to query, report and troubleshoot data, supporting Crystal Reports, SSRS and day-to-day ERP operations
- Contribute to upcoming projects including an ERP upgrade, warehouse management system replacement and automation initiatives
- Investigate and resolve system issues, taking time to understand the full problem before designing and implementing fixes
- Collaborate with the wider business, translating operational requirements into technical solutions that improve efficiency and support growth
What We're Looking For
- Commercial ERP experience in any system (Sage 200, Sage X3, Epicor, SYSPRO, IFS, Infor, Dynamics NAV/AX, SAP ECC or similar on-premise platforms are all relevant) – SAP Business One will be taught and full training given
- SQL skills at a minimum able to read and understand queries for reporting, troubleshooting and data analysis
- An understanding of business document flow such as quote to sales order to invoice, or planned orders to production orders
- Around 2–5 years' experience in an ERP Analyst, ERP Support, Systems Analyst or ERP Developer role
- A hands-on problem solver and people person who is happy to work with colleagues across the business, not someone who prefers to work in isolation
- Manufacturing or production environment experience would be a strong advantage but is not essential
- C# or .NET experience would be beneficial but can be taught
