About the role
We're working with an established Sage Intacct partner in Glasgow who are expanding their consulting capability to meet growing demand for cloud finance implementations across Scotland and the wider UK. As a Functional Consultant, you'll configure and deliver Sage Intacct solutions for mid-market organisations, working across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and multi-entity consolidation. You'll gather requirements from finance directors and operational teams, translate these into practical system configurations, and deliver training and post-go-live support to ensure clients realise the full benefit of their investment.

Key Responsibilities
- Configure Sage Intacct across core finance modules including General Ledger, AP, AR, Cash Management and multi-entity consolidation, ensuring solutions are aligned to client business processes and reporting needs
- Gather and document requirements through workshops with finance stakeholders, translating these into system design specifications and configuration workbooks
- Configure chart of accounts structures, dimensions, approval workflows, allocation rules and reporting hierarchies tailored to each client's operational and compliance requirements
- Deliver user training and create documentation to support finance teams through testing, go-live and ongoing operation
- Support data migration activities including legacy data mapping, validation of opening balances and cutover planning to ensure accuracy and business continuity
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, resolving queries, optimising configurations and identifying opportunities to extend functionality with additional modules or integrations
What We're Looking For
- Commercial experience as a functional consultant, implementation consultant or finance systems analyst working with Sage Intacct, or a comparable cloud finance platform such as NetSuite, Xero, Acumatica or Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Strong understanding of core finance processes including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable workflows, cash management and period-end close procedures
- The ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders, ask the right questions and translate business needs into practical system configurations
- A calm, methodical approach to delivery, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with multi-entity consolidation, reporting dimensions or integrations to CRM or third-party applications would be an advantage but is not essential
- Sage Intacct certification or accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent) would be a plus but is not essential
