About the role
We are working with an established ERP solutions business in the South East who is strengthening its technical team with an experienced NetSuite Developer. You will work across product development, customisation and customer integrations, building and enhancing NetSuite solutions that support real-world business operations using SuiteScript 2.1, JavaScript and the SuiteCloud Development Framework. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of complex technical challenges, collaborate with consultants and customers to translate requirements into effective solutions, and explore how modern AI tools can improve development workflows.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop NetSuite scripts, customisations and integrations using SuiteScript 2.1 and JavaScript, including Client Scripts, User Event Scripts, Suitelets and Map/Reduce scripts
- Build and maintain RESTlet and SuiteTalk REST integrations, managing authentication, data mapping and error handling to connect NetSuite with third-party systems
- Work with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) and Git source control to manage development, sandbox testing and controlled deployments across environments
- Collaborate with consultants and customers to understand business requirements and translate these into reliable, maintainable technical solutions
- Debug and optimise scripts to manage governance limits, improve performance and ensure code quality through peer reviews and technical documentation
- Explore AI-assisted development and testing approaches, ensuring generated code is secure, reliable and fit for purpose in production environments
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on NetSuite development experience with particular expertise in SuiteScript 2.x/2.1 and JavaScript, ideally gained over 3–5 years in a development or technical consultant role
- Practical experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), Git or similar source control, sandbox testing and controlled deployment processes
- Solid NetSuite integration experience, including building RESTlets, working with SuiteTalk REST APIs, and managing authentication, data mapping and error handling
- A good understanding of NetSuite records, custom fields, SuiteFlow, saved searches and SuiteQL, with the ability to design solutions that work within platform constraints
- A proactive, independent approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to investigate complex technical issues and communicate clearly with both technical colleagues and customers
- Working knowledge of modern AI development tools and the ability to use them productively while reviewing, testing and validating generated code; recognised NetSuite developer accreditation or certification would be an advantage but is not essential
