We are recruiting for a growing Odoo solution provider in New York who is expanding their technical team to support an increasing pipeline of custom development and integration projects across retail, manufacturing and professional services sectors. As an Odoo Technical Consultant / Developer, you'll design and build custom modules, integrate Odoo with third-party platforms and work closely with functional consultants to deliver tailored solutions that meet complex business requirements and extend platform capability.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom Odoo modules using Python, extending core functionality across Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, Accounting and CRM to meet client-specific requirements
- Build and maintain integrations between Odoo and third-party systems including e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, warehouse management systems and external APIs
- Collaborate with functional consultants during requirements gathering and solution design, translating business needs into technical specifications and feasible development approaches
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within live Odoo environments, reviewing logs, debugging code and delivering fixes that maintain system stability
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to internal development standards and support junior developers as the technical practice grows
- Deliver technical documentation and provide guidance to clients and internal teams on customisation best practices and upgrade paths
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience developing for Odoo or a comparable open-source ERP platform, with strong Python programming skills and familiarity with the Odoo ORM, views and workflows
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, XML for view definitions and JavaScript for front-end customisation within the Odoo framework
- Confidence working across the full development lifecycle, from gathering technical requirements and estimating effort through to testing, deployment and post-go-live support
- A collaborative and pragmatic approach: someone who communicates clearly with non-technical stakeholders, asks the right questions and balances technical elegance with delivery pragmatism
- Experience with API development, RESTful services or integration middleware such as Celigo or Boomi would be an advantage but is not essential
- Familiarity with Git version control and deployment practices in a multi-developer environment (or ability to pick this up quickly)
