About the role
We're working with a growing Sage Intacct partner in Bristol who are strengthening their consulting team to support an expanding client base across the South West and wider UK. As a Sage Intacct Functional Consultant, you'll lead the configuration and delivery of cloud finance implementations for mid-market organisations, working across core modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and multi-entity consolidation. You'll gather requirements from finance teams, configure the platform to meet their needs, deliver training and provide post-go-live support to ensure clients gain maximum value from their investment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end functional configuration of Sage Intacct across core modules including General Ledger, AP, AR, Cash Management and multi-entity consolidation, ensuring solutions meet client business requirements
- Gather and document business requirements through discovery workshops with finance stakeholders, translating these into system design and configuration specifications
- Configure chart of accounts structures, dimensions, allocation rules, approval workflows and reporting hierarchies tailored to client processes and reporting needs
- Deliver user training sessions and create documentation to support finance teams through go-live and into business-as-usual operation
- Support data migration activities including mapping legacy chart of accounts, validating opening balances and ensuring data quality at cutover
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients post-implementation, resolving queries, optimising configurations and identifying opportunities for additional modules or functionality
What We're Looking For
- Commercial experience as a functional consultant, implementation consultant or finance systems analyst working with Sage Intacct, or a comparable cloud finance platform such as NetSuite, Xero, Dynamics 365 Business Central or Acumatica
- Strong understanding of core finance processes including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation and month-end close (experience with multi-entity consolidation, intercompany transactions or dimensional reporting would be an advantage but is not essential)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with finance professionals at all levels, explaining technical concepts in clear, business-focused language
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach: someone who ensures configurations are accurate, data is validated and clients feel supported throughout the project
- Experience gathering requirements and translating these into system design would be valuable, or the ability to develop this skill quickly with mentoring
- Sage Intacct certification or familiarity with the platform's dashboards and reporting tools would be a plus rather than essential
