About the role
We're working with a growing SAP Business One partner in the Thames Valley that needs a Technical Consultant / Developer for its Reading team. You'll sit between the functional consultants, project managers and customers. Your job is to build the add-ons, integrations and reports that make a standard SAP Business One system fit the way each client really works.
The work is varied. One week you might be scoping an integration to an e-commerce or warehouse platform. The next, you could be tuning a HANA query or supporting a customer through an upgrade. Key Responsibilities
- Design and build add-ons and extensions for SAP Business One using the SDK, DI API and UI API
- Develop and maintain integrations through the Service Layer and B1if, connecting SAP Business One to e-commerce, warehouse and EDI systems
- Create and tune reports, queries and print layouts using SQL and Crystal Reports on SQL Server or HANA
- Support implementation projects with data migration, configuration and technical testing alongside functional consultants
- Investigate and resolve technical issues raised by customers, documenting fixes so the wider team can learn from them
- Act as the technical voice in client workshops, explaining options and trade-offs in plain English
What We're Looking For
- Commercial experience developing for SAP Business One using the SDK, DI API or Service Layer (or the ability to pick this up quickly if you have strong C# or .NET and ERP integration experience)
- Good SQL skills on Microsoft SQL Server, with SAP HANA experience an advantage but not essential
- Experience building integrations or reports around finance, sales, purchasing, inventory or manufacturing processes
- Crystal Reports or a similar reporting tool would be an advantage but is not essential
- A calm, methodical approach and the ability to give customers confidence when an issue needs untangling
- SAP Business One certification would be a plus rather than essential
