About the role
We are working with an established Epicor partner in Southampton who need a Functional Consultant to support implementation and optimisation projects for manufacturing and distribution clients. You'll work across the full project lifecycle, gathering requirements, configuring Epicor Kinetic solutions, delivering user training and providing post-go-live support. This is a client-facing role where you'll build trusted relationships with stakeholders, translate business needs into system design and guide users through testing, data migration and system adoption.
You'll be working with a varied client base across discrete manufacturing, supply chain and warehouse operations, supporting Epicor Kinetic projects that range from new implementations to enhancements and module rollouts. Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements through discovery workshops, process mapping sessions and stakeholder interviews, ensuring client needs are clearly understood and translated into functional specifications
- Configure Epicor Kinetic modules including Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management or Manufacturing to meet client requirements, setting up workflows, dashboards, reports and system parameters
- Deliver tailored training sessions to end users and super users, ensuring teams are confident in using the system and understand how Epicor supports their day-to-day processes
- Support clients through user acceptance testing, data validation and go-live activities, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth transition from legacy systems or manual processes
- Build and maintain Business Activity Queries (BAQs), reports and dashboards to support client reporting and operational visibility requirements
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients during and after implementation, responding to questions, proposing enhancements and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP (ideally Epicor Kinetic, E10 or Epicor ERP) in a consulting, implementation or power user capacity, with solid understanding of at least one functional area such as Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management or Manufacturing
- Strong ability to gather requirements, understand business processes and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and approachable way
- Demonstrable experience configuring ERP systems, building reports or queries, and supporting users through testing and training phases
- A calm, methodical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently while keeping project managers and clients informed of progress and risks
- Familiarity with SQL, BAQs or reporting tools would be an advantage but is not essential, as is Epicor Certified Professional status or willingness to work towards certification
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites across the South of England as project needs require
