About the role
We are recruiting for a well-established manufacturing business seeking an ERP Systems Developer to join their ERP Systems team. You'll work part of a team to develop, maintain and enhance their SAP Business One platform and connected applications, building software solutions that support finance, sales, purchasing, manufacturing and warehousing operations. This is a hands-on role where you'll translate operational requirements into practical technical solutions, own complex system issues and contribute to continuous improvement across business-critical systems.
You'll be joining a team working on a broad range of projects including automated inter-company processing, web front-ends to SAP, CRM extensions, shop floor data capture and warehouse management integrations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test and deploy ERP software, integrations and system enhancements that improve business processes, data quality and user experience across SAP Business One and related applications
- Maintain and improve SAP Business One, databases and connected systems, ensuring solutions remain reliable, secure and aligned with business requirements
- Own the investigation and resolution of complex ERP and application issues, identifying root causes and minimising disruption to operations
- Partner with commercial and operational colleagues to understand requirements, challenge where appropriate and design practical technical solutions that support business objectives
- Maintain technical documentation, follow development standards and share knowledge with colleagues to support continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to read and understand code; C# experience would be an advantage but is not essential provided you have the willingness to learn
- An understanding of business document flow (e.g. quote → sales order → invoice; planned orders → production orders) and how ERP systems support operational processes
- Manufacturing experience or familiarity with manufacturing environments would be an advantage but is not essential, as would experience with SAP Business One or the SAP B1 SDK
- A hands-on, people-focused approach – someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, asking questions across departments and solving problems independently rather than sitting behind a screen
- A problem solver who values stability and wants to make things better – improving business processes, not just writing code
