About the role
We're working with a growing international company that needs a SAP Business One Systems Specialist to join its technology team in Central London. This is a brand new in-house role, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer. You'll work closely with finance and other functional leads to get far more from the company's SAP Business One system. The business operates in around 33 countries, so you'll build relationships with colleagues across cultures and time zones.
SAP Business One has been in use for several years, mainly as an accounting system. Procurement is still manual, supply chain is only partly implemented and finance relies heavily on Excel. You'll review what's in place, put sound processes and data in front of the business and prepare the ground for a new AI layer. Key Responsibilities
- Review the current SAP Business One set-up, identifying unused functionality and processes that still happen outside the ERP
- Work with finance and other functional leads to understand requirements and challenge inefficient, manual processes
- Configure and administer SAP Business One, implementing workflows and rolling out procurement
- Improve the supply chain set-up and make better use of existing functionality across the business
- Improve reporting and data availability in the existing HANA and Power BI environment, reducing reliance on Excel
- Support integration with third-party and custom applications via the Service Layer, working alongside the technology team on the AI integration and planned feature pack upgrades
What We're Looking For
- Strong SAP Business One module knowledge, with the ability to assess what is used, what is missing and where improvements can be made
- Hands-on experience of system administration, configuration and workflow implementation
- A good understanding of the Service Layer and integration with third-party or custom applications (this is not a pure development role)
- An easygoing, inquisitive and proactive approach, with the confidence to ask questions, learn the business and turn that understanding into practical workflows
- The ability to build strong relationships across cultures, including with non-native English speakers
