About the role
We are recruiting for a well-established family-owned business based in Woodland, California, looking for an SAP Business One Systems Administrator to join their small IT team. You'll take ownership of their SAP B1 environment, eCommerce integrations (BigCommerce and Magento), and provide backup IT support across the business. This is a critical hire for a company that's been running SAP Business One for nearly a decade and needs a second pair of hands to reduce key-person risk and support growing system demands.
This is a full-time, office-based role where you'll have genuine ownership over core business systems, working closely with operations, sales and finance to keep everything running smoothly. You'll also cross-train to provide backup IT generalist support, meaning you'll be a genuine team player who can step in when needed. Key Responsibilities
- Administer and configure SAP Business One (version 9.3) across all modules, managing user accounts, permissions, system settings and data integrity
- Own and monitor integrations between SAP B1, BigCommerce and Magento, troubleshooting sync issues, order flow errors and inventory discrepancies
- Build and maintain custom queries, reports and dashboards in SAP B1 and MicroStrategy to support internal reporting needs
- Manage BigCommerce and Magento platforms including product data, catalog structure and configuration, working with marketing and sales on platform improvements
- Provide tier-1 and tier-2 support to internal SAP B1 users, training teams on functionality and best practices
- Serve as backup IT generalist support, covering help-desk tickets, device setup, network and server support, and cross-training to provide genuine redundancy for the IT lead
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of hands-on SAP Business One administration experience, ideally with version 9.x or higher
- Strong query writing and reporting skills using SAP B1 queries, formatted searches or Crystal Reports
- Working knowledge of eCommerce platforms, particularly BigCommerce and Magento, and experience troubleshooting ERP-to-eCommerce integrations
- Familiarity with SQL, REST APIs or SAP B1 Service Layer/DI API would be an advantage but is not essential
- IT generalist exposure covering networking, servers, endpoint support or help-desk functions, or the ability to pick this up quickly
- Someone with a methodical, detail-oriented approach who takes pride in clean systems, accurate data and proper documentation
- A versatile team player who can roll up their sleeves, take ownership of their domain, and step into other areas when the business needs it
What's On Offer
- A salary of $60,000 – $85,000 depending on experience, plus medical, dental and 7 days paid holiday
