SAP Business One Technical Consultant – Integrations (Remote, UK)

About the role:
Henley Morgan is working with a fast-growing, multi-entity business looking for an SAP Business One Technical Consultant to take ownership of their integration landscape. You'll be the go-to expert for how SAP B1 connects with the wider systems estate — ordering platforms, payment and AP/AR tools, tax engines, and reporting feeds — making sure every integration is well-designed, well-documented and easy to support.
This is a hands-on, functionally-led role: you won't just build integrations, you'll shape how they're specified, tested and handed over, working closely with developers, infrastructure colleagues and external partners. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys translating business needs into clear technical requirements and wants to build a more sustainable, less "tribal knowledge" way of working.
The role is largely remote, with occasional travel for team and project days.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the functional design of SAP B1 integrations with connected systems and third-party platforms
- Lead discovery and impact assessment for new integrations, enhancements and defect fixes
- Translate business requirements into functional specs, test scenarios and handover documentation
- Coordinate developers and external partners through design, build, testing and release
- Act as the go-to SAP B1 integration expert across the business
- Investigate and resolve complex integration issues, defining permanent fixes and preventative measures
- Set and maintain integration documentation standards, including runbooks and known-error playbooks
What you'll need
Must-haves:
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Business One integrations
- Experience translating business/process requirements into functional specifications and test cases
- A solid understanding of core finance or operational processes (e.g. invoicing, payments, reporting)
- Confidence managing integration defects through root-cause analysis to resolution
- Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups in a multi-entity or global environment
Nice-to-haves:
- Familiarity with SAP B1 Service Layer, DI API, B1if or SQL-based integration patterns
- Experience with AP/AR automation, tax or payment platforms
- Exposure to offshore/nearshore development teams or managed service providers
- A finance, systems accounting or business analysis background
